Laurence Simon wonders, and Kehaar of Siflay wonders, what the alleged terrorists would want to blow up in Miami. Kehaar says the First Union Tower, Larry thinks there's nothing in Miami that would particularly interest them. Well, if they're looking for a symbolic target, that's probably right. My thought was they might think of the port at Fort Lauderdale as a target, but there wouldn't be much symbolic value.

I also thought about Carl Hiaasen's book Tourist Season, in which ecoterrorists hijack the Orange Bowl game. But that's a long way away. And the Dolphins don't play on Monday Night Football until December, I think. If you're going to blow up something in Florida, you'd head north for Disney World, I think.
