Woulld be nice if families (of any sort) returned to downtown but looks unlikely. Working folks just can't afford it.
I supsect the next migration will be furthur into North St. Clair County, Blount and Cullman County.
Might wind up with a wet Oktoberfest one of these days.
If gas prices keep climbing and the Birmingham-Jeffco leadership keeps sticking its collective head in the sand over public transit, we may all be moving back downtown -- or at least as close as possible to work and/or school.
