They show wrestling on the Sci-Fi channel now too.
I almost can't watch the Sci-Fi channel anymore... I can't stand any of their original programming, not even the stuff everyone else swears is good. Give me 'The Twilight Zone' any day!
I believe the history channel is saying, "Watch us, please God watch us! Look, we have a Mel Gibson movie!"
Maybe their excuse was "this is the type of film that was created in the wake of the energy crisis of the 1970s".
