Council raises its pledge to dome

I pledge allegiance to the Dome of the Birmingham-Jefferson County area.
And to the metropolitan area for which it stands.
One metropolitan area, under Richard Scrushy, Chairman of Healthsouth.
With higher hotel taxes and bond payment rates for all.

Oh, I'm in trouble now.

Anyway, the City Council pledged $2 million for a domed stadium. Assuming four percent inflation, at $500 million for a dome, that means they could build it... hmm, let me check... Never.
