Case down to final arguments

Siegelman didn't put on a case. He apparently feels that his natural innocence will shine through or something. Or he hoped that Scrushy and Hamrick's case was enough.

Or he hopes that his pandering to black voters (and jurors) would do more help than actually getting people to say things under oath.

...or you could have been in the courtroom everyday as many of us have been, and seen for yourself the absolute ineptitude of the prosecution. There was no need for him to call witnesses. By the time it came to him, the case had been gutted.

Don's a joke. He's toast. He's in Guy Hunt territory at this point. Of course Hunt did eventually get a pardon... Siegelman probably won't make out so well.
