Afghanistan to Allocate Bulk of Budget to Education

Hamid Karzai sounds like... well, Walter Mondale or somebody:

There should be a cut from all the ministry budgets, especially from defense, interior and intelligence... The money should go on health and education.

The ministers for Defense and Interior were there at the time, but they aren't saying how they feel about this. Oh, and girls, like the ones pictured, are attending school again. I really hope Karzai can pull this off, but I'm not optimistic.
